Terms

Last updated 21 August 2026

Read this first. These terms are a starting point written for this site's actual behaviour. They are not legal advice, and the operator named in the legal notice should have them reviewed before taking live payments.

1. What you are buying

holdthe.top shows one website at a time. Paying the listed price places the address you submit on that screen immediately, replacing whatever was there. It stays until someone else pays to replace it — which may be seconds later. No minimum display time is promised or implied.

A site already on the screen cannot pay to replace itself: the only effect would be to reset its own clock. It can still buy leaderboard time.

Every second your site is displayed is added to its total on the leaderboard, permanently. Time can also be bought directly; bought time counts toward the same total but never places a site on the screen.

The price of bought time follows the board. Seconds are priced relative to the leader's total rather than in the abstract, so a second costs less as the board grows and more as it shrinks. The rate shown when you open the purchase panel is the rate you are charged, even if the board moves before your payment completes.

2. No account

There is no sign-up. A domain name is the only identity used. Anyone able to pay can list any domain, including one they do not own. Listing a domain grants it visibility and accumulates time against it; it confers no rights over that domain and creates no relationship with its owner.

3. What may not be listed

Query parameters are removed from every submitted address, so affiliate, referral and tracking links do not function. Every link is followed: if it redirects, the destination is what gets listed and what the rules are applied to.

4. Removal and refunds

A listing that breaks these rules is removed and the payment is not refunded. The operator may remove any listing considered to fall outside the rules, at their discretion.

Refunds cover failures originating with the service — if something breaks on our side after a payment is taken, the payment is returned automatically and in full. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through the payment processor.

Because a listing is displayed immediately and in full on payment, any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to a digital service is exhausted at that moment.

5. Availability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of continuous availability. If the service is unreachable, the site displayed at that moment keeps its place and its clock continues: nobody can outbid it while it is down, so the time is credited.

6. Liability

The operator is not responsible for the content of any listed site, and listing a site is not an endorsement of it. To the extent permitted by law, liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount paid for the listing giving rise to it.

7. Changes

These terms may change. The version in force is the one published here at the time of payment.
